Scout FOV ("Scout", "we", "us") is a field of view calculator for photographers. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

Data We Collect

• Email address — collected when you sign in via magic link or OTP. Used solely to authenticate your account. Stored securely in Supabase.
• Crash and diagnostic data — collected automatically via Sentry when the app crashes or encounters an error. Includes device type, OS version, and stack traces. Not linked to your identity.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, location, or any financial information.
• We do not serve ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication provider. Your email is stored on Supabase servers hosted in Sydney, Australia.
• Sentry — crash reporting. Crash data is anonymised and used only to fix bugs.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Purchase and subscription status is managed via RevenueCat; no payment details are handled by Scout directly.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as you have an active account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Scout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
